A special message from Vince Welsh,
president of the Teacher Education Institute.
TEI was founded in 1981 to meet the needs of classroom teachers
for quality education and training in practical, proven skills
and methods that make a tangible and positive difference in
their relationships and interactions with students and colleagues.
Teacher
Education Institute now has a catalogue
of 32 graduate courses that address key human factors
in education, as well as critical technology integration skills
and methods. More than 150,000 teachers have taken a TEI graduate
course, and in the past ten years, several thousand of these
teachers have taken TEI courses online. Today, about 100 professional
educators teach TEI courses, which are offered for graduate
credit by seven universities throughout the country.
We are
excited that TEI continues to add courses and has even opened
Teacher Education University, allowing teachers to earn a
Master's degree entirely online.
Our aim at TEI is to design courses for teachers that give
them good theory based on solid research, coupled with practical
skills taught by master teachers in such a way that teachers
actually apply what they learn in their classrooms to make
a positive difference in student achievement. Online learning
fills the bill. We hope more and more teachers will take the
leap and try an online learning experience of their own at
www.TeacherEducation.com.
Feel free
to contact me at any time, as questions and comments are always
welcome.
Best Regards,
Vince Welsh
President
Teacher Education Institute
